Madison Hooper | Medical Director

I first knew I wanted to be a nurse when I took anatomy and physiology in high school - the human body fascinated me, and I found myself interested in learning all about it (which says something for a high schooler to be genuinely  interested in a science class). Always being heavily invested in my own health and the health of others, and my Mom being a rockstar nurse herself, also helped validate that nursing was the perfect fit for me. My nursing journey officially started at the University of South Carolina (go Gamecocks!) where I graduated cum laude with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing in May 2018. This was perfect timing since my Mom started Restoration Hydration in November 2017 - I was able to jump right in. I am lucky that I inherited my Mom’s stellar IV skills, which made the transition from new nurse to infusion nurse a heck of a lot easier. I also started my first inpatient nursing job in high risk obstetrics at the University of Maryland Medical Center shortly after graduation and worked there for 3.5 years. While working with my Mom and at UMMC, I concurrently began a Masters program at Georgetown University to become a Nurse Practitioner. I graduated with honors from this program in May 2022 and am so excited to start my career as a Family Nurse Practitioner! I strive to combine both traditional care with alternative and adjunct treatments to meet all of my patients' individualized needs. As the medical director of Restoration Hydration, I’ll be consulting with patients, administering infusions, and doing some behind-the-scenes work with my Mom to keep this business growing!

Wendy Hooper | Owner / Principal

Being a California native definitely instilled a health and wellness passion in me. My healthcare journey started in the early 1990s when I was administering B12 injections under the care of a pharmacist- it’s amazing how much cleaning my roommates and I were able to get done with that B12 boost of energy! I further pursued this passion through a career as a pharmacy technician from the ages of 21-35. This career gave me strong foundational knowledge of prescription drugs, vitamins, and other supplements - how to mix them, how to dose them, and what they are best used for. Although I loved my role of a pharmacy technician, I found myself wanting more in the healthcare realm. The empath in me drove me to pursue my degree in nursing, which I received from Anne Arundel Community College in 2007. After graduating nursing school, I worked in the Emergency Department at Baltimore Washington Medical Center. I thrived in the fast-paced, critical-and-quick- thinking environment, however, I wished I could spend more time with my patients. This drove me to switch gears and accept a position at the outpatient oncology center at Anne Arundel Medical Center. During my 8 years there, I became even more proficient in IV administration, critical thinking, emergency response, and providing the best, most loving care to my patients. The combination of being a California native with a passion for health and wellness, my knowledge of prescription drugs and vitamins from being a pharmacy tech, and my advanced nursing skills created the perfect recipe for opening an IV clinic. What was first viewed as a “hangover cure” has now grown into so much more - IV therapy is used for overall health and wellness and for a multitude of aliments and symptoms patients may be experiencing. I have witnessed firsthand how profound the impact of IV therapy can be for both well and sick patients, and I consider myself lucky to be able to offer these services to all individuals. I would like to formally thank my family, friends, and colleagues who have supported me in every step of this journey - the possibilities are endless and I am here to make them all happen.
